It may seem ironic that a band from Pennsylvania would name themselves after a piece of Texas history, but listening to the Texas Alligator Blues Band, it all makes sense. Their new album, Voodoo Fury, just released nationwide this week!

Their self-titled genre, Texas Alligator Blues, was named after the alligators that actually migrated over the Louisiana land bridge to the Texas side. Historically, blues music developed over sectarian lines of Christian gospel in the Southeastern United States at the turn of the twentieth century. Euro Anglo Gospel branched and developed into guitar driven C & W, and African American gospel branched and developed into Ragtime, Boogie Woogie, and guitar driven Deltablues, not to mention blues driven rock 'n' roll. These Allentown boys put it all together, crossing genre lines like Texas Alligators cross bridges.

According to their producers at Tate Music Group, “Simply put, these guys are the real deal! They live for blue blooded rock and roll!" The album includes eight original songs. Voodoo Fury is currently available nationwide at the iTunes Store, CDBaby.com, or directly from TateMusicGroup.com.

Texas Alligator Blues pays tribute to the “Fusion" of Euro-Anglo and African-American blues writings, more importantly, targeting the styles of blues driven country rock 'n' roll.
