Monday, April 9th promises to be a rare and exciting night of big band music at this historic Greenwich Village Club, featuring Tom Abbott's Big Bang Big Band.
Abbott favors the music of Billy Strayhorn, Duke Ellington, Count Basie and Fletcher Henderson, but ranges outside of classic swing repertoire to explore the likes of Sun Ra and other modern composers as well. The performance will showcase a selection of Abbott's latest arrangements and compositions in this intimate, classic setting.
