Should other labels, mostly indie, now go after cash-rich LimeWire and collect on behalf of artists?
Leading indie trade group A2IM has been very vocal in it's belief that LimeWire needs to be stopped. Perhaps they could lead the charge. Even those that see promotional value in filesharing, admit that it's damaged artist and label bottom lines. But are artists and labels in the courtroom the message that indies want to send to hard core music fans? Or is better that they accept the new realities of the music business and figure out how to deal with it?
