The Reuel Lubag Trio is the headline jazz act at “I'll Love You Always: A Musical Valentine," a benefit concert for the Lifelong AIDS Alliance Friday, Feb. 10, 2006 at 7:30 p.m. at the Illsley Ball Nordstrom Recital Hall, Benaroya Hall, Seattle, 200 University Street.

The trio plays jazz in the tradition of Oscar Peterson, Wynton Kelly, Bud Powell, Sonny Clark, Art Blakey and other legends. Lubag has played with such notables as Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Williams, Doc Severinson and Bud Shank, and is on the faculty of Seattle Pacific University, where he teaches jazz piano. Lubag is also the pianist for the acclaimed Emerald City Jazz Orchestra.

Also on the jazz bill is Jack Klitzman, multi-talented sax and flute player. Klitzman spans multiple genres with groups like the Latin band “Tumbao" (aka Mango) and his Chase Street Contemporary Jazz Productions.

Rounding out the evening is vocalist Shanna Anjali, whose powerful vocals have wowed audiences since she was eight years old. The recent graduate of Snohomish (Wash.) High School earned numerous accolades as a high school jazz performer; she was chosen for regional and national honor choirs and sang at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in both 2004 and 2005.

The show includes classical performances as well.

Tickets are $20 at all Ticketmaster outlets (www.ticketmaster.com).

Produced by Hinrichsen Music (www.hinrichsenmusic.com).
