Return to Forever will reunite this summer with a new lineup for a nationwide tour. The fourth installment of the jazz and rock experimental group will make their way to Massachusetts for a performance at Boston's Bank of America Pavilion on Thursday, August 11. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $30 to $60, will go on sale Saturday at 11 a.m. through Live Nation. Zappa Plays Zappa, Dweevil Zappa's tribute band to his late father Frank, will open the show.

The new Return to Forever lineup comprises keyboardist Chick Corea, bassist Stanley Clarke, drummer Lenny White, guitarist Frank Gambale and special guest composer and violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. The group was formed by Corea in the '70s and released seven studio albums in six years. The upcoming “RTF IV" tour will include songs from those albums, highlights from each member's solo career and new compositions from the current lineup.

“Since all the guys in the band are such good composers, I wanted to have everyone's compositions add to the new RTF IV vibe," Corea said in a press release. “So we all agreed: let's open it up—which is the way we like it, and I think the way the fans like it too."

Led by the jazz/rock legend's son on guitar, Zappa Plays Zappa continues to revive the work of the late Frank Zappa. Joing Dweevil is rotating cast of musicians, some of who played with Frank.
