Randy Cannon Playing Jazz since the age of 14 and being student of the legendary jazz pianist, Horace Silver, pianist and composer Randy Cannon prevailed more as a live performer than a studio musician and grew to be a household name in the Jazz circles of Oregon and the Los Angeles area and in Hawaii. Randy began his professional career at age 17, performing throughout California with numerous combos, big bands and orchestras, including the Grammy nominated Bill Holman Big Band. By age 19 he accepted a position as music director, conductor and pianist with Princess Cruises. On and off for the next 12 years he travelled the world as Music Director with various different cruise lines. Drawn to the South Pacific, Randy spent six years living in Hawaii performing live and on television with many entertainers such as Bob Hope, George Benson, Don Ho, Toots Thielemans and David Liebman. Moving back to Los Angeles, he perused music for movies and television and performed on ABC television's 'Hotel', 'The Love Boat' and 'Falcon Crest'. He also appeared and composed music for Orion Picture's 'No Man's Land'. Moving on to Portland, Oregon and residing there for 8 years, he performed with virtually every notable musician and jazz venue in town and he toured on festivals with the famed jazz trumpeter Freddie Hubbard. Throughout 1995 and 96 Randy collaborated with the internationally known recording artist Gino Vanelli on three different album projects. These projects include Gino Vanelli's release for Verve Records, widely acclaimed classical vocalist Monseratt Caballet's BMG Records release featuring the Royal Philharmonic of London and Blue Note recording artists 'The Dokey Brothers' on their self titled CD appearing with amongst others David Sanborn, Al Jarreau, Diane Reeves and John Scofield. More recently he performed with the renowned Jazz vocalist Nancy King who also appears on Ray Brown's latest album 'Some of my best friends are singers'. In 1997 Randy expanded into the realm of record producing. Writing, arranging, playing and producing two more records; the first one for his brother, trumpeter, Steve Cannon and secondly for Portland based saxophonist Renato Curanto. Randy's own releases are 'Not like before', a solo piano venture produced by Gino Vanelli for Pillar Productions, 'Stand Up Guys' a CMG release featuring Charlie Shoemake and jazz saxophonist Harold Land, 'CGB Express - Live at the Hobbit' featuring drummer Mel Brown and 'Guess I'm Sentimental' with vocalist Sydette Sakauye on Hololulu Records.
Thardsak Wongvichien The bass virtuoso Thardsak is one of the most promising young Thai Jazz talents. Having graduated with a BA in music education of Srinakharinwirot University in Bangkok he worked his way to fame up through major Jazz Clubs and 5 star hotel lounges in Bangkok. He toured as band leader of Boy-Thai Band at Jazz Festivals in Taiwan and Tokyo and toured lately with Australia's most famous Jazz guitarist and WEA recording artist Tommy Emmanuel.
Lester Esteban Lester arrived from Manila to Bangkok years ago and became a soon celebrity amongst Jazz lovers in the city of Angles. He has performed at all the major jazz venues in the city and is the official drummer of the Bangkok Big Band.
