We converted the home page Featured Stories box from Flash to jQuery, because Flash was obstructing our new dropdown menus in Internet Explorer and we wanted a functional slideshow to appear on an iPhone.
We increased the number of featured stories from five to six, and you must now click either on the article title or the larger photo to view the article. Clicking a thumbnail allows you to navigate within the box, but it will not hotlink to the article itself (like the old version).
