My Band Foot Foot: Shaggs Revue
The Shaggs, three teenage sisters from New Hampshire, were a self-taught family rock" band from the late 60's. They had creative energy and ambition, but knew little about music, could not tune their instruments and could not play any given tempo together. The results were, depending on your point of view, some of the worst or the most interesting music ever recorded.
The members of My Band Foot Foot view the music of The Shaggs with reverence and awe.
My Band Foot Foot reinterprets rather than imitates The Shaggs' music. The tunes are rearranged in a wide variety of musical genres, including jazz, blues, musical theatre, chamber music, rock, gospel, and more.
This is the premier performance of My Band Foot Foot. Diehard Shaggs fans will be delighted to hear their favorites in new settings, and the uninitiated will be exposed to a brand-new world.
John McNeil -- Trumpet
JC Sanford -- Trombone
Meg Okura -- Violin
Andrew Green -- Guitar
Ben Rubin -- Bass
Ted Poor -- Drums
