The Jazz Bridge Second Wednesdays, Neighborhood Concerts Series at the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion, 2110 Chestnut Street in Center City Philadelphia presents pianist Jason Long on Wednesday, May 14th. Showtime is 7:30 p.m., tickets are $10/$5 for students, and are only available at the door. For info: 215-517-8337 or visit Jazz Bridge.

Pianist, bassist, jazz educator and University of the Arts graduate, Jason Long is among the most in-demand musicians in the region, and has recorded extensively on both a local and national level. A careful, thoughtful, inventive, lyrical and sometimes fiery improviser on both bass and piano, Long’s primary interest is jazz, though he is fluent in virtually every style of music. He estimates that, since graduating from U of A in 1997, he’s performed over 3,000 professional musical performances. Jason Long will be accompanied by Jim Schade on drums and Bob Colligan on bass.
