LONGMONT, CO--The Longmont Jazz Festival expands this year to a free eight-day celebration from August 13-20 of performances, a jazz clinic with Peter Sommer and Art Lande August 18, jam sessions, a jazz art show and more. On Saturday and Sunday August 19-20 from noon till night, the Roosevelt Park Pavilion will feature mainstream, '30s swing dance music and gypsy jazz, bebop, traditional, Latin, straight-ahead and avant-garde jazz. Dancing is encouraged. Food, drawings for prizes and booths for vendors will also be featured in the Park. Attenders are encouraged to bring blankets and chairs for seating.
