Just in time for the holidays, a “Preview" of Reggie Workman's upcoming Sculptured
Sounds Music Festival (Feb.2007).
The concert features TRIO 3 (Oliver Lake (Sax) Reggie Workman (Bass) & Andrew
Cyrille (Drums.) Musical symmetry in a sparse, yet tight rhythmic concept to totally
open harmonies of the sax, bass & drums; Saxophonist/Composer and Art Blakey
alum, BILLY HARPER is joined by The New School Vocal Ensemble for a premiere
performance of his new vocal compositions; JUHANI AALTONEN- The Finnish
Saxophone maverick is joined by musical titans, Workman and Cyrille for the trio's
US debut!
The concert also includes an art exhibit/demonstration by musicians Oliver
Lake & Dick Griffin.
