Maria Cangiano, an Argentine singer/composer, is curating a series of concerts at Night and Day's performance space in Park Slope Brooklyn. The series brings together well-known artists who, though sharing similar musical influences, have rarely had the opportunity to perform together at the same place. In particular, the series is assembling a variety of South American composers and performers who share a common background in jazz and South American music, tango, folk, candombe etc. The series has already showcased the Emilio Solla Jazz Quartet, Victor Prieto's trio, the Uruguayan guitarist-composer Beledo among others.
