Los Tainos is an 8 piece Latin Jazz band, playing authentic grooves from Eddie Palmieri, Machito,Chano Pozo,Tom Harrell and more.

The band features an all-star horn section: Larry Moses, trumpet, a member of the Thad Jones/Mel Lewis Band, plus the bands of Palmieri, Machito and Palladium All Stars.

Rob Scheps, tenor sax, a member of the big bands of Gil Evans & George Russell, and the small groups of Al Grey, Joey Calderazzo, Terumasa Hino, Bob Moses, Dave Kikoski and more.

Sam Morrison, saxes, flute, the missing member of one of Miles Davis' 1970s bands, just before Miles ' 5 year hiatus.

El Coqui in Kingston, NY
Friday, March 31 & Saturday, April 8th

New World in Saugerties, NY
on Friday April 7th

and looking ahead, the Woodstock Library Fair on Sat. July 22.
