Students from Jazz St. Louis' JazzU program will perform in an end-of-semester showcase concert to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, December 14 at Jazz at the Bistro.
JazzU is a series of weekly workshops geared towards emerging middle and high school student musicians, and it serves as a companion program to the Jazz St. Louis All-Stars. In addition to weekly instruction from local faculty members, JazzU students get a chance meet and work with participants in the Jazz St. Louis Artist Residency program, which has included musicians such as Terell Stafford, Bruce Barth, Esperanza Spalding, Greg Osby and Cyrus Chestnut.
