RIVERSIDE, CALIF. — July 5, 2006 — OneSource Marketing Inc., producers of the award-winning Riverside Jazz Festival (RJF), has joined forces with the Riverside Art Museum (RAM) to launch the new Jazz @ RAM Series during Riverside Arts Walk on Thursday, Jul. 6, 2006. Get ready for an explosive night of high- energy jazz at the Riverside Art Museum, located at 3425 Mission Inn Ave. in historic downtown Riverside. In association with supporting partner Riverside Downtown Partnership (RDP), the Jazz @ RAM Series will take place on the rooftop of RAM, which offers breathtaking views of Riverside.

“We wanted to offer a program that would marry the visual and performing arts and feature a range of jazz artists to attract a multicultural audience from the Inland Empire and beyond,” said Tiffany Jones, executive producer of the Riverside Jazz Festival and Jazz @ RAM Series. “The Riverside Art Museum’s rooftop has an intimate outdoor setting, which creates the perfect atmosphere for an evening of great music and art that the audience is sure to enjoy.”

The first of the Jazz @ RAM Series will feature nationally acclaimed contemporary jazz pianist Marcus Johnson, who performed his signature urban grooves to an excited crowd at the 1st Riverside Jazz Festival in 2004. Jazz enthusiasts are in for a real treat because they’ll have a rare opportunity to hear this sensational smooth jazz artist perform again in the Inland Empire. Additionally, attendees will be the first to hear Johnson perform songs from his new CD project entitled, "Phoenix," which is scheduled to be released this summer.

Johnson’s live performance will take place at 6 and 8 p.m. Immediately following each performance, Johnson will be signing CDs in the museum’s atrium, which will be converted into a CD listening room featuring samples of Johnson’s discography – Just Doin’ What I Do, In Person: Live at Blues Alley, Comin’ Back Around, Urban Groove and Phoenix.

The Riverside Jazz Festival, in partnership with RAM and RDP, recently invited artists to participate in its first art contest where entrants were challenged to capture the essence of the jazz festival in artistic form. The winner of the RJF Art Competition will receive over $1,000 in prizes and will be announced at Jazz @ RAM on July 6.

“The Riverside Art Museum is always looking for ways to expand and enrich its public programs that complement the City of Riverside’s vision as the City of the Arts,” said Daniel Foster, executive director of the Riverside Art Museum.

General admission is only $10 per performance for advance ticket purchases online at www.RiversideJazzFestival.com, or $13 at the door. Also, based on availability, entry is free when you bring three empty HP inkjet print cartridges as part of a special recycling program. Keep Riverside Clean and Beautiful's Executive Director Nancy Melendez was pleased to see this Recycle Inkjet Cartridge Program established for the Jazz @ RAM event.

"This program aligns with our organization's goal to reduce, reuse and recycle," said Melendez.

Denise Kraemer, education curator and Jazz @ RAM Series coordinator, said "The cartridge recycling program is a great environmentally-conscience fundraising idea that allows everyone the opportunity to attend the event. Also, we are working on other fundraising programs to extend the jazz series, and we’ll be announcing more performances for the 2006-2007 Season in the near future.”
