Saxophonist Denis DiBlasio and his band will be appearing at the Collingswood Community Center, 30 E. Collings Ave, in Collingswood, NJ, on January 6, 2011. One Show: 7:30-9 p.m. Admission: $10/$5 for students. No advance sales. Free Refreshments! For info: 856-858-8914.

Appearing with Denis will be guitarist Brian Betz, bassist Steve Varner and drummer Jim Miller.

Baritone saxophone and flute artist Denis DiBlasio directs the Maynard Ferguson Institute of Jazz at Rowan University. He is a multi-talented reedman who was trumpeter Maynard Ferguson's music director for five years and was voted best baritone saxophonist on the Downbeat Magazine Poll twice in the last decade. With nine highly acclaimed recordings of his own on Dreambox Media along with published texts, arrangements, and compositions, DiBlasio is known through out the world.

Jazz Bridge is a 501C3 nonprofit that assists our local jazz and blues musicians in crisis.
