Jazz bassist Burgher “Buddy" Jones, 76, died comfortably at his home in Carmel Valley, California on Friday, June 9, of inoperable pancreatic cancer. A local “ambassador of jazz music" and long time resident of Carmel Valley, Jones is survived wife Lynn, and his two sons, Calvin and Lyle of Pennsylvania.
