ROY HAYNES TO RECEIVE GEORGE PEABODY MEDAL Legendary drummer and bandleader Roy Haynes will receive the George Peabody Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Music in America on May 24 at graduation ceremonies for the Peabody Conservatory, the highly regarded music school of The Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore.
