Guitarist Michael-Louis Smith to Perform at the Iridium's New Faces After Midnight Series

Guitarist and composer Michael-Louis Smith's quintet will perform at The Iridium as part of Scobar Entertainment's “New Faces After Midnight" series on Saturday May 1st. The group will appear in support of the new CD, Portrait of MLS (unreleased as of press time)and will include some of the best on the NYC jazz scene; Stacy Dillard on Saxophone, Jeremy Manasia on piano, Diallo House on bass and Jeremy Bean Clemons on drums. The new album has been described as a propitious debut that announces the arrival of a seriously talented new kid on the block one who can play, write and swing! and Michaels sound on the album has been hailed as modern and forward-looking in a review by Albert Brooks for albanyjazz.com.

There will be one set only Saturday May 1st at midnight. Tickets are $20($10 w/promotional flyer) and may be purchased in advance by contacting the box office or at the door on the evening of the concert.
