Galactic, Karl Denson's Tiny Universe Coming to the Pageant on Thursday, February 18

The eclectic New Orleans funk/jazz band Galactic and saxophonist Karl Denson's group Tiny Universe are coming to St. Louis on Thursday, February 18 to perform at The Pageant.

Galactic's last CD From the Corner to the Block featured collaborations with guest hip-hop performers and lyricists. Their upcoming effort Ya-Ka-May goes back to the band's New Orleans roots with a diverse list of guest artists from the Crescent City, and will be released on February 9.

Meanwhile, Denson and Tiny Universe have been touring this past year in support of their last CD Brother's Keeper. The saxophonist also will do a series of dates this month with the Greyboy All-Stars.

Tickets for the show will be $20 in advance, $23 day of show for general admission to the main floor, which will be for all ages; and $25 for reserved seats in the balcony, which will be 21+ only. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 4 via Ticketmaster, and there's a “Buy three, get one free" deal in effect until December 11.
