"I felt so well after we stopped playing last night that it was like singing for joy out loud, and I just want to thank you for your participation along with me in the Don Cherry music. He seemed to be there making us all happy in our responses to each other and to the audience. It was spectacular"--Henry Grimes on the Festival of New Trumpet Music “Symphony For Improvisers" concert that took place at Merkin Concert Hall this past Saturday, 9/16.
