Writing ability, expressiveness, virtuoso improvisation and a vast territory of influences.
Vic Albani, All About Jazz
Dutch trumpet star Eric Vloeimans is coming to the US in September for a duo tour with American accordionist Will Holshouser; at their New York concert on September 8th, they will be joined by very special guest Kinan Azmeh on clarinet, originally from Syria. These three virtuoso musicians play their original compositions that bring together sounds from jazz, classical and folk music: rich harmonies, catchy melodies, and energetic improvising span the range from emotional to fun. The combination of instruments is unusual but sonically lush, making connections with a wide variety of musical influences from around the world. See below for tour dates.
Eric Vloeimans is one of the most acclaimed musicians in the Netherlands, having won numerous awards there for his recordings as a leader of groups such as Gatecrash, Fugimundi and Oliver’s Cinema. Kinan Azmeh is internationally renowed as a clarinetist and composer; he and Eric have made two albums with their project Levanter. Will Holshouser is a veteran of the New York music scene and one of the most widely respected accordionists in the US. Eric and Will’s latest album is Two for the Road (V-flow/Challenge Jazz, 2022). They recently recorded a new album which will be released in conjunction with a Dutch tour in 2026.
