Two weeks until the UK’s only major green-field jazz festival returns to Glynde Place

The line-up for Jazz FM's Love Supreme Jazz Festival is now complete thanks to the addition of the Earth, Wind & Fire Experience featuring five-time Grammy-winning original member Al McKay. McKay will line-up alongside a host of international stars including Jamie Cullum, Laura Mvula, Gregory Porter, Soul II Soul, Imelda May, De La Soul, Snarky Puppy, Courtney Pine, Dave Holland, Curtis Stigers and Incognito, for what promises to be a stunning weekend of world class live music.

The festival has partnered with legendary Soho institution Ronnie Scott’s, who host The Big Top throughout the weekend. Artists gracing the Big Top’s stage include Gregory Porter, Curtis Stigers, John Scofield, Christian McBride, Dave Holland’s Prism and many more.

Once again taking place in the enchanting grounds of Glynde Place, a magnificent Elizabethan manor house located on the Sussex Downs, this year’s festival boasts over seventy acts performing across five stages. As well as ecelctic programmes on the Main Stage, the Ronnie Scott’s Big Top, The Arena and The Bandstand, this year also sees the introduction of the Matua Sessions Stage, which will present an array of emerging artists as well as classic album playbacks, talks, exclusive DJ sets and much more. Performing on the Matua stage on the Saturday afternoon are the winners of the popular Discovery Competition, which offers a band or artist the opportunity to perform at the festival. Taking the coveted slot this year are London-based Mimika, a 7-piece ensemble who present a unique blend of Balkan's earthy spirits and exotic grooves.

Festival Director Ciro Romano: “We’ve striven to present as diverse, exciting and ambitious a programme as possible; one that reflects the myriad of brilliant, contrasting forms that jazz has to offer. With chart-topping stars nestled alongside cutting-edge contemporary artists, and one of the most beautiful festival settings in the UK, we’re extremely excited about this year's event and can’t wait for it to start”.

The main stages this year will feature Yamaha grand pianos and instruments thanks to the festival's partnership with Yamaha Music Europe.
