With the release of her US debut Ela (Six Degrees), Brazilian born vocalist and cellist Dom La Nena “joins the sorority of whisperers that includes singers like Juana Molina, Hope Sandoval and Jane Birkin." (Jon Pareles, The New York Times)

Ela was recently featured on PopDose.com, where Keith Creighton raved, “If Cat Power had a lost sister in the Southern Hemisphere, her name would be Dom La Nena." Jim Fusilli of The Wall Street Journal says of Ela, “At times, the music sounds as if it were produced by a young Brian Wilson."

Dom La Nena, born Dominique Pinto, began writing for Ela shortly after she wrapped up a stint performing as a cellist with English actress and singer Jane Birkin on her international tour.

Co-produced, arranged and recorded with labelmate Piers Faccini, Ela is a collection of thirteen original compositions, sung in Portuguese and Spanish. Ela is available today on Amazon, iTunes and Six Degrees.
