Dean Magraw
Master guitarist Dean Magraw presents his trio, Red Planet, in a stunning new CD, Space Dust, including many original compositions that the band has been playing live since 2003. Space Dust exemplifies the magical direction that these three experienced jazz musicians have continually created. The disc opens with the band setting fire to the Coltrane tune, “Africa," travels through the Jimi Hendrix classic, “Little Wing," Trane's “Saturn," then six original compositions and concludes with a unique interpretation of the “The Lion Sleeps Tonight." The last two selections of the disc were recorded live at the Artists' Quarter in St. Paul.

A great Guitar/Bass/Drum jazz trio playing innovative sounds with a strong emphasis on creative interactivity for the 21st Century.

Dean Magraw: guitar
Chris Bates: bass
Jay Epstein: drums

CD release weekend is at the Artists' Quarter, St. Paul MN, May 13-14, 2011.
