Clapton Plucked for Pic

“Eric Clapton Crossroads 2010," a feature drawn from sets at the guitarist's June 26 festival in Chicago's Toyota Park, will unspool as a high-definition theatrical event July 27 on more than 475 U.S. screens.

Pic is being presented by National CineMedia Fathom and Rhino Entertainment, Warner Music Group's catalog arm. Clapton records for WMG's Reprise imprint.

Clapton, ZZ Top, Steve Winwood, B.B. King, Jeff Beck, Vince Gill, Sheryl Crow, Buddy Guy and John Mayer are among performers featured in the doc.

A Rhino spokesman said the pic will be issued in an expanded DVD and Blu-ray edition in the fall.
