Nashville, TN (PRWEB) September 28, 2005 -– Jazz vocalist Christina Watson (www.christinawatson.com) will be showcased on Tuesday, October 4, 2005 at 8:00pm PST by Xradio.Biz's “Woman of Jazz,” JaiJai Jackson, daughter of legendary bassist Chubby Jackson. The 15-minute interview, available globally at www.xradio.biz/lasvegas, will include samples of music from Watson's debut jazz vocal CD, “All About Love.”

Xradio.Biz, which promotes indie artists of all genres, promotes emerging jazz artists through Jackson's Las Vegas-based show. Jazz fans all over the world can tune in to hear Jackson's interviews with up-and-coming independent jazz musicians such as Watson.

Watson's debut CD, “All About Love” is a tribute to the importance of love in everyday life. “The songs I chose to record all portray different sides of love,” says Watson. “Love can take us for a roller coaster ride, but in the end we are much better off having learned the lessons it teaches. Love is international, and, as is even more apparent after the recent natural disasters, love is all we truly have.”

Watson graduated in 2001 from Boston's Berklee College of Music, where she studied with contemporary jazz greats Kevin Mahogany and Cheryl Bentyne. Now based in Nashville, she performs with the Christina Watson Quintet and has made several appearances in France and Sweden.

Having earned a Master's Degree in French Literature, Watson has great respect and appreciation for cultures other than her own. Two of the selections on “All About Love” are sung in French, and one track is a cover of a Swedish pop song. Her CD was recently reviewed in Sweden's largest and the world's oldest jazz magazine, Orkester Journalen, in which her original ballad “Half Moon” was given high praise.

When asked to comment on Watson's debut CD, jazz vocalist Kevin Mahogany said, “I enjoyed it very much. I don't think [Watson should have a problem getting people to recognize [her talent.” Cedric Dent of the Grammy Award-winning vocal group Take 6 said, “Christina Watson is a promising new talent who is blessed with a naturally pleasing voice. Her debut release, “All About Love,” already shows a maturity that normally comes much later in one's career.”

“All About Love” is available online at www.cdbaby.com/christinawatson. For more information or for booking, please visit www.christinawatson.com or call 615-400-2946.
