Chris Washburne and the SYOTOS Band, the busiest and most in demand Latin jazz group in New York, continues their remarkable and unprecedented 13-year run of weekly performances. For the last 5 of those years they have been in residency at Smoke playing every Sunday night. Throughout the summer they will continue to bring their eclectic and postmodern Latin jazz mix to the Upper West Side at one of New York's finest jazz rooms.

Their latest release “Paradise In Trouble" (Jazzheads Records) received 4 stars in Downbeat and was nominated for the Best Latin jazz Record of 2004 by the Jazz Journalists Association. This is Latin jazz on the edge!
