What: Spend a picture perfect day at one of the most beautiful gardens in Seattle. Blues For Food Fest is an allages event featuring some of the finest blues bands in the Northwest. The P-Patch Pie Queens will be tempting your taste buds with seasonal pies, a homemade pie auction, and an old-fashioned pie walk." Lots of fun and games for kids in the children's garden. Free Zydeco Dance Lessons with Marylee Lykes. BBQ by Smokin Pete's BBQ (voted one of the best in the West). Glean your garden and raid your cupboards, the Beet Hunger" booth will be collecting fresh produce and canned goods for local food banks.

Why: Seattle's P-Patch foodbank gardens, community farms and community fruit tree harvests, donate more than 20 tons of fresh organic produce every year to local food banks, meals-on-wheels programs, transitional housing, and shelters for women and children. This year Blues for Food Fest is collaborating with Jams for Cans and the Washington Blues Society. Proceeds from the event will benefit the P-Patch Trust, local food banks, and the Musician's Relief Fund.
Cost: Tickets $10 children under 12/$20 teens and adults.
