Berklee College of Music Executive Sessions Concert Series Showcasing Bands with Local CEOs

Giving new meaning to the term “corporate gig," Executive Sessions, a new concert series that showcases bands whose members include Boston-area CEOs and corporate executives, continues with Chip's Country Showcase: A Roll of Quarters and a Pedal Steel, featuring Chip Rives, CEO, TRP Marketing, Thursday, June 19, 8:00 p.m., at Berklee's Cafe 939. This night of country music written by Rives will feature Mike Elkins, with Berklee students Jen Bostic, Adam Tressler, Merrily Scruggs-James, and Ryan Shergold. Tom Glynn opens the show.

Tickets are $10.00 and are available at the Berklee Performance Center box office, 136 Massachusetts Avenue, through Ticketmaster at 617 931-2000, or at ticketmaster.com. Cafe 939, located at 939 Boylston Street, is Berklee's new all-ages, student-run coffee house and music venue. The space is wheelchair accessible.

Produced by Tom Simons, president/creative director, PARTNERS+simons, Executive Sessions will run on various Thursday evenings through early summer. All proceeds from the series, including a financial contribution from PARTNERS+simons, will benefit Berklee scholarship programs. Simons' band The Loomers kicked-off the series in April.

Cafe 939, located at 939 Boylston Street, is Berklee's new all-ages, student-run music venue designed to showcase emerging student talent, local artists, and national acts.
