Ticket aggregator and event notification platform Bandsintown has added music discovery app Shazam, EMI and ReverbNation to its partner network. The company has also added former Warner Music Group EVP and former Ticketmaster UK Director, Paul Vidich to its board of advisers.
Through its partnership with ReverbNation, Bandsintown will empower the 20+ million fans on ReverbNation's extended network to purchase tickets. Similarly, Bandsintown is working with EMI to promote access to the live events of the artists on the label.
Bandsintown gathers info from more than 100 different ticketing companies in 160 countries, and currently lists more than 150,000 events. With the deal, the company now exposes its concert data to more than 50 million monthly.
