Apple has confirmed a much rumored mystery event by sending invitations (above) to select media outlets. It will take place at 10AM PT Wednesday, January 27 at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, and seems almost certainly to be centered around the release of a new Apple tablet. But how the company will position the device and its features remain a mystery.
The “creation" theme of the invites may offer a clue. Some rumors point towards a tablet well suited for magazines and e-books and others expect a device for music and video consumption. (Imagine the creative possibilities a larger portable and interactive screen provides.) I'm betting on both, plus a solid dose of on the go computing power - an iPhone (less the phone), meets a Kindle and an iPod. What do you think?
