Jazz Bridge, the region’s non-profit dedicated to assisting Jazz and blues musicians in need, has announced its stellar Neighborhood Concert Series for 2013-2014. With nearly 40 concerts on five area stages with some 200 singers and instrumentalists covering virtually every jazz genre, this year’s Jazz Bridge Neighborhood Concert Series, which runs from October through May, promises to be among the most exciting and wide-ranging in the organization's 10-year history.

Tickets to all shows - available only at the door - are $10 or $5 with student ID, and all shows begin at 7:30 pm. Special laminated season pass VIP Gold Cards are also available (for only $125.00, a savings of $225.00 over all shows). For more information, call 215-517-8337, or visit Jazz Bridge for the full schedule.

Highlights abound this year, on stages old and new. This season, “Second Wednesdays" Center City Philadelphia concerts will be presented at Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion, 2110 Chestnut Street, kicking off October 9th with bassist extraordinaire Mike Boone.

The other new locale is the Willingboro Library, 220 Willingboro Way in Willingboro, Township, NJ. The “Jazz at the Library” series kicks off Thursday, October 17th with the swinging tenor saxophone of Tommy Gryce.

The “First Wednesdays" Jazz Bridge season begins this year on October 2nd at Cheltenham Center for the Arts, 439 Ashbourne Road in Cheltenham PA, with alto saxophone icon Tony Williams.

On “First Thursdays," the Collingswood Community Center — 30 East Collings Avenue in Collingswood, NJ — presents multi-instrumentalist Denis DiBlasio and his Quartet as the season opener on October 3rd.

The “Third Wednesdays" Jazz in Media series, presented at the Unitarian Universalist Church — 145 West Rose Tree Road in Media PA — will feature innovative guitarist Chuck Anderson October 16th.

All Jazz Bridge artists are available for interviews: please call 610-745-3011 for arrangements.
