Peekskill, NY -- The Andy Polay Trio will be playing the Beanrunner Cafe in Peekskill, NY, on Saturday June 13th at 8:00 pm.. Polay, along with Rahn Burton and Bill Davis, will play a jazz tune list ranging from Miles, to Coltrane, to Brubeck, and much more, including original material - all done in their crowd pleasing way. They will play soothing ballads and their version of spacey, funky modern jazz and avant-garde renditions of standards and not-so-standards including their tribute to the great Herbie Hancock and change-driven renditions from the incomparable Thelonious Monk .The performance is free and open to the public. As part of the Andy Polay Bands, Polay and Burton have played together for over a year and a half before thousands and in more intimate settings, including festivals, clubs and the famed Rainbow Room in New York City. They have played in trio's, quartet's, and on that night, will play in a trio performance that is sure to please your jazz palate,. as the legendary Bill Davis will join them on bass.

Rahn Burton is a stellar pianist who's extensive credits include Stanley Turrentine, Rassan Roland Kirk, and countless others, spanning the world on tour and on many sessions, including his signature album, The Poem. His style transcends the modern, bop, post-bop, and hard bop jazz in a way that only he can play. His flair and heart-felt style are only matched by the drama he produces in every measure of music.

Bill Davis has also graced the stage with some of the greats. His credits include Ray Charles, Sun Ra, Kenny Durham, Richard Davis, Della Reese, the Mingus Band and many more, including many album and touring credits. His jazz-savvy response to the music will impress as he travels the bar lines from standards to modern and Bop styles. He has been a member of the “APB" for over a year and this will be his first appearance at the Beanrunner.

Andy Polay is the bandleader of his own, multi-faceted jazz ensemble. Besides his stage partnership with Rahn and Bill, Andy's credits include Rick Kriska (4 Tops, Ashford and Simpson, and more), and a host of others. His style is a blend ranging from the taste he simmers in his brush work, to the swing of straight ahead jazz and non-traditional bop and hard bop, And he'll surprise you when he mixes in a healthy dose of funk and fusion jazz.
