First and foremost, All About Jazz is still 100% FREE to our readers. You can still read all the articles, reviews, interviews, and news stories you want. But with MY AAJ registration you can additionally:

- View and post local news
- Play a more active role in your local jazz community
- Start discussion threads and post comments
- Deliver AAJ content to your “MY" page based on your preferences

Why MY?
We understand you may be uncomfortable registering. Allow us a moment to explain.
All About Jazz is a free site that is marginally supported by advertising. To attract advertisers, we need to provide them with very basic regional and demographic information of our users so they can determine if our site is a fit for their products. We provide this information only in the aggregate (i.e. 80% of our users are male, etc.) and never pass on any individual user information. Please read our privacy policy for more information.
Without advertisers, All About Jazz would cease to exist. Registration is a common practice among free publishing sites like NY Times, LA Times, etc.. AAJ is in line with common Internet practices and, as a good Internet citizen, zealously protects the privacy of our users.
