The Proscenium Agency Opens its Doors in 2007 to Represent the Finest Jazz Artists:
2006 NEA Jazz Master Curtis Fuller, Louis Hayes, Mulgrew Miller, Buster Williams, Robert Hurst, Ray “Bulldog" Drummond, Carmen Lundy, Donald Harrison
In concurrence with the 2007 IAJE Conference, a new agency was born, representing a fierce concoction of the world's most renowned jazz icons.
In celebration of this formation, and in celebration of Curtis Fuller's 2006 Jazz Master Award, The Proscenium Agency held a week of legendary live recordings in January, featuring Curtis Fuller, Mulgrew Miller, Robert Hurst, Louis Hayes, Eric Harlan, and Donald Walden, together in a unprecedented display of genius.
The Proscenium Agency is introducing its 2007 roster, which includes: Curtis Fuller /Louis Hayes “Rising Star," The Curtis Fuller Sextet - featuring David “Fathead" Newman, The Robert Hurst Quartet- with Robert Glasper, Lionel Loueke and Karriem Riggins, Carmen Lundy and The New Songbook Artists, with Robert Hurst and Anthony Wonsey, Mulgrew Miller and Wingspan- with Steve Nelson, Duane Eubanks, Ivan Taylor, Rodney Green and Steve Wilson, The Mulgrew Miller Trio- with Rodney Green and Ivan Taylor, Ray “Bulldog" Drummond and Excursion- with Craig Handy, Stephen Scott, Billy Hart and David Sanchez, The Buster Williams Quartet - with Lenny White, Stefon Harris, and George Colligan, and The Donald Harrison Electric Band.
