Tomer Baruch
In 2005 Baruch re-established, along with Adam Cohen, Ziv Teller and Tal Gur, the band “a caravan shall run” which performed a fusion of Jazz, Rock, Electronic music, Ethnic and Israeli music, and combined all that with a lot of free improvisation. The band was active until 2007 and gained reputation, mostly in Jerusalem.
In 2008 Baruch Graduated the music academy with honors. During that year he also joined the Reggae group “Reggaestan” (soon to record its debut album) and has gathered a group of young and talented musicians to form the Tomer Baruch Quintet. The band has performed throughout Israel, and recorded the jazz album “The Nature of Not Knowing”, released on October 2009.
The album consists of 9 movements that form a piece by the same title: “The Nature of Not Knowing”. The piece, composed by Baruch, is a personal - philosophical journey through music, jazz and life.
Tomer Baruch has also composed and performed music for dance, theatre plays and films.
