Critically acclaimed Sivan Arbel is an Israeli vocalist, songwriter, and educator with a deep love for dance and a vibrant presence on the international jazz scene. Her original music, arrangements, and lyrics offer a glimpse into her rich inner world, playfully blending her love for jazz with diverse musical influences from her Israeli roots and global travels. As a performer, Sivan captivates audiences with her unique fusion of rhythm, groove, scat improvisation, movement, and dance.
Her latest album, Oneness (2024) is a call for unity and healing, praised as a “must-hear album!” by Jazz-Fun Magazine. The album captures her decade-long artistic evolution in New York City. Her previous albums, Broken Lines (2016) and Change of Light (2019)—the latter named Jazz2K’s Best Vocal Disc of 2019—earned her widespread recognition.
Arbel’s collaborative spirit has led her to work with artists across genres and continents, including Japanese band Ichimujin, pandeiro virtuoso Túlio Araújo, Grammy-nominated Gnawa musician Samir Langus, and pianist Guy Mintus. She has enthralled audiences worldwide, performing at renowned festivals and venues such as the Montreal Jazz Festival, Lincoln Center, and the Bratislava Jazz Days Festival. Recently, Sivan performed with Ravi Coltrane at the prestigious Carnegie Hall, celebrating the music of Alice Coltrane.
