Richard Kalman
I led the six-voiced vocal jazz harmony ensemble Con Alma (with soul) that performed in the San Francisco Bay Area until 2014. From 2008 to the present, I have been co-directing the Albany Jazz Big Band, I have a BA in Jazz Studies from CSU Sonoma and have studied vocals with jazz recording artists Madeline Eastman, Mark Murphy, Faye Carol, Kitty Margolis, Sheila Jordan, and jazz piano with Mark Levine. I am a former member of the Oakland Jazz Choir and the Oakland Interfaith Gospel Choir.

California Adult Teaching Credential in Fine Arts, Music. BA in Music, Jazz Studies. Graduate Work in Music and Composition. Studied jazz combo and composition at the JazzSchool, and Rhythmic Concepts music camps. 10 years plus offering private lessons in piano, voice, guitar, jazz and popular music. 10 years plus offering vocal jazz workshops at adult schools, recreation centers. Available weekdays and evenings at $45/hour. Consultation, arranging, transposition, instruction.
