"Heart, Mind & Spirit" is the new album of Piotr Budniak Essential Group. The title loosely refers to the concept of a human being as the sum of the spirit, soul and body professed in early Christianity and derived from Hebrew philosophy. The assumption of the team is an attempt to capture the essence of human integrity with the whole palette of his feelings, thoughts, beliefs, experiences and struggles.
The musical layer of the album differs from the choices made by the band, using, apart from - acoustic instruments - electric and enriching the whole with electronic elements and modern production procedures.
Piotr Budniak Essential Group was formed in 2014 . In 2015 the band released debut album "Simple Stories About Hope And Worries" which was recognized as one of the best Polish albums of the year by native jazz listeners and critics. The same year Essential Group became the laureate of the International Jazz Juniors Festival. In 2017 the band released the next album "Into the Life", which was received very well by listeners and critics immidietly.
In the spring of 2018, the Piotr Budniak Essential Group released their concert album "The Days of Wine And Noises" recorded with the excellent Czech guitarist David Doružka, associated with the New York stage. After that David become a regular member of the band.
Piotr Budniak Essential Group performed in Poland, Hungary, Czech Republic and Ukraine and played on many festivals (i.e. Jazz in the Ruins, Róże Jazz Festival, zJAZZd, Jazz in the Museum, Monte Verde Jazz, Jazz Juniors).
Music of the group is composed by Piotr Budniak and it's full of warmth, melodies, drive and space. As we can see Essential Group combines the high artisitc level with affordability for the audience very well.
