O'Clock Trio
Willie Oteri known in jazz and rock circles for his work with Scott Amendola, Giko Pavan, Tony Levin, J.A. Deane, Mike Keneally and others, several Jazz Avant Gard releases with WD-41 and Dark Matter Horns has a new offering called O'clock Trio, an Electro groove, Nu-Jazz, Post-Rock project with Lost Cat Magnet (Ricardo Acevedo) on Keyboards, programs and Live loops, Oteri on Guitar, Tenor Sax and Flute and guitarist/bassist, producer Tiago Barreto da Silva.
Willie Oteri has albums out with some very fine musicians including the recent releases Dark Matter Horns Narratives Vol 1 and Dark O’Clock Live. He has recorder and performed with players like Tony Levin, Pat Masellotto, Scott Amendola, Dave Laczko. Giko Pavan, J.A. Deane and others. 1999s Jazz Gunn Concepts of MateMaToot featured A-Team players Brannen Temple, Michael Malone, Chris Maresh, and second guitarist Chris Tondre, the uniquely original 2003 release Spiral Out produced by Ronan Chris Murphy which featured prog rockers Tony Levin, Pat Mastelotto and Mike Keneally in a free improvised jazz setting with trumpet master Ephraim Owens, two critically acclaimed Avant-Garde WD-41 albums followed with electric trumpet player Dave Laczko, the second incorporating the talents of Dino J.A. Deane with drummer Scott Amendola and Shrunken Head Shop taken from a series of live recordings from a tour through Germany. His recent release Dark O'clock was an Editors pick for 2018 best albums in Italian Magazine Tom Tom Rock. Oteri is also a regularly featured artist at All About Jazz.
Lost Cat Magnet (Ricardo Acevedo) has been creating critically acclaimed electro prog, avant new wave, ambient groove, and post-jazz for over 40 years. He was a leading member of Westcoast and Southwest musical acts Freaks Amor, The Blue Box, Second Culture and Cup throughout the 80’s and 90’s. Also a visual artist and writer Acevedo returned music in 2012 as Lost Cat Magnet and has a dozen plus albums out through Heterodox Records. As LCM he has worked with electronic musician producer Ramon Mills aka Production Unit Xero, Willie Oteri’s WD41+ and Dark Matter Horns, Vernon Reid of Living Color, progressive noise Guitarist Matt Henderson, Pianist Charles Russell of Brazilian Space Program and countless others internationally.
Tiago Barreto da Silva is deeply immersed in every facet of music and sound. Beginning his journey with the guitar, and later developing skills on bass, drums, keyboards and synthesizers—building a rich, multi-instrumental foundation. His passion led him to study audio recording, eventually establishing his own recording studio and launching a production audio business focused on film and television.
