Mary May

I started singing on the club scene aged 17 but when I first heard jazz in my early 20's I became an avid fan and from then on, have only been interested in singing this type of music. I undertook summer schools and jazz workshops with incredible vocalists like Sheila Jordan and Mark Murphy, who has been my favorite singer throughout my life. Over the past few years I have sung at Jazz Clubs and Festivals across the UK and last year had a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with my show 'Mary May sings Bilie Holiday' and this year I recorded my debut CD 'This is What You Are.' This year we return to the fringe with a new show 'Lady Jazz'.
