Frank Marino

Frank Marino is an accomplished, versatile Bassist who plays both Acoustic Upright and Electric bass. He primarily plays Jazz, but is proficient in all styles of music. He is a Bass instructor as well. Frank is from NYC where in addition to many years as a performer, was a Faculty member at the Westchester Conservatory of Music for 10 years. He is the founder of the Brazilian group, "Som Brasileiro" and together with his wife, Jazz recording artist Diane Marino, has appeared in many Jazz Festivals and venues. He also appears on Diane's recordings on M&M Records...all which have charted on the National Jazz charts in the US. He is a current member of the Nashville Philharmonic Orchestra. Frank graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mercy College/Westchester Conservatory and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Music/Jazz Performance. Formal studies with Lyn Christie, Jack Messing, Irwin Stahl, Richard Davis, Bill Blossom and Ron McClure.
