Stevie Holland is an American jazz vocalist, writer and lyricist. She has headlined at major concert halls, jazz clubs and cabaret rooms, in addition to performing in theater. A dynamic performer and internationally acclaimed song stylist, she continues to chart her own path as a completely original artist.

She returns to the recording studio with Talk to Your Tomatoes, a 2025 release out October 10.

A collection of gems and classics from the pop, jazz and American Songbook catalogs, Talk to Your Tomatoes also includes original songs penned by Holland and her longtime collaborator and steady arranger, award-winning composer Gary William Friedman.

The broad appeal of Stevie Holland’s previous albums has led them to chart on jazz, smooth jazz, traditional pop and standard radio stations nationally.

Her last album Life Goes On was produced by Grammy winning NEA JazzMaster Todd Barkan, who also co-produced Holland’s Before Love Has Gone release. Esteemed jazz journalist Gary Giddins, who described Stevie as a “self-possessed tour de force”, who sings with “effortless swing and a radiant wit”, penned the liner notes for Before Love Has Gone, and in addition to receiving acclaim from jazz, pop and cabaret critics, it was featured as an iTunes Top Jazz Album and made the critics’ list as a Top Album of the Year at USA TODAY.

She created the one-woman musical Love, Linda: The Life of Mrs. Cole Porter with Gary William Friedman. Love, Linda had its Off-Broadway Premiere at the York Theatre 2013-2014, returned to the Triad Theater for a special limited engagement in October 2018, and was filmed for a worldwide on-demand video release in 2021. Holland starred in all productions, with direction by TONY-Winner Richard Maltby, Jr. The film has earned multiple awards at festivals in the USA & UK, including a BEST ACTRESS IN A FEATURE FILM award for Holland at the Culver City Film Festival in California. The film is streaming at Amazon Prime / BroadwayHD

Stevie Holland: Life Goes On

Read "Life Goes On" reviewed by C. Michael Bailey

Vocalist Stevie Holland has blazed quite a path for herself. She is fifteen years into a career that has produced seven recordings, the most recent being the present impressionistic Life Goes On. While always refined, Holland takes her refinement to a gilded level that is almost a vapor, an essence. She never overuses her perfectly balanced soprano voice, erring always on the side of sophistication and pure simplicity. Holland approaches ten Gary William Friedman-arranged standards and originals like Matisse beginning ...

She combines a highly accurate vocal presentation with deeply felt expression and comes up with the best of both worlds. While communication is her forte, Holland also ensures that we're treated to a musical performance of the highest caliber.

Stevie Holland: Restless Willow

Read "Restless Willow" reviewed by C. Michael Bailey

With the title derived from the opening track, “It Might As Well Be Spring," singer Stevie Holland could be considered the personified restless willow. Holland has an easy vocal style that never falls prey to over-extension. She swings with a confident grace, her phrasing tasteful and accurate. These are the things that may strike the listener upon spinning Restless Willow for the first time. Skip on over to “Summertime" and hear a performance that will not blaze new trails in ...

On her third album, singer Stevie Holland offers eleven well-balanced cabaret/jazz selections. She is accompanied by a good group that includes Kenny Washington, George Small, Tim Ferguson, Noel Sagerman, Sean Harkness, Steve Kroon, Joe Mennonna and a guest shot from David “Fathead" Newman. Holland has co-written and performed with producer Gary William Friedman in the past and her first album in 2000 consisted of all Friedman material. On this album, Friedman provides the arrangements and orchestrations including strings on some ...

Stevie Holland: Restless Willow

Read "Restless Willow" reviewed by Jim Santella

Singing standards with a clear delivery and a happy outlook, Stevie Holland gives her audience an intimate approach and a convincing, heartfelt persuasion.

James Taylor's “Sunny Skies" coasts along gently with a buoyant aura, allowing Holland to interpret its positive lyrics with a graceful piano trio alongside. “Zoot Walks In" brings an equally rosy outlook with jazz piano trio and tenor saxophone, but the drive of her interpretation glows with much more emphasis. It's the high point of ...
