Flying Vipers
In a basement bunker outside of Boston, MA, Flying Vipers create dubwise music on an econo cassette machine. Live, they are a 7-piece unit with soulful vocals, blazing horns, bubbling keys and heavy drum & bass. Their love of Jamaican and UK 70’s roots and dub is their north star, but eclectic crates of records and a couple decades worth of DIY punk shows bleed through on tape and on stage.
The core quartet of twin brothers Marc & John Beaudette on drum & bass (Destroy Babylon, The Macrotones), Zack Brines on keys (Pressure Cooker, 10 Ft Ganja Plant, Kings of Nuthin'), and Kellee Webb on vocals (DB, Tiger Witch) have 20+ years in the New England scene, sharing the stage with legendary reggae acts from around the world, including Burning Spear, Lee "Scratch" Perry, Steel Pulse, Barrington Levy, the Skatalites, and Hollie Cook, among many others.
