Born: January 26, 1976
Sean was born in San Antonio, TX and raised with two concert pianists as parents. He has a B.M. degree from West Texas A&M University, with continued studies at the Masters level, and also holds an M.B.A. from Abilene Christian University. Sean is the founder and Executive Director of Minor Third Records, an indie label, where he has released two albums of original compositions (Reflections of Simplicity and Mundane Fascinations). Sean is currently a student of Berklee Asst. Piano Dept. Chair, Dr. John Paul McGee. He has also studied at the New York Jazz Academy and enjoys sitting in at New York Clubs like Ornithology. Sean is an active performer, composer, arranger, and accompanist. He has served as the Region Jazz Chair for the Texas Music Educators Association and was commissioned to write music for the TMEA audition process.
He has recorded with artists like Jason Anick and Dave Ritter, and has performed with artists like John Tegmeyer, Michael Geib, Dr. Jim Laughlin, Javier Arau, Pete Zimmer, and Allen Vizzutti to name a few. He has performed with the Amarillo Symphony, and recorded as a studio musician in Atlanta and in Texas. Sean has also performed as a featured artist for the Jim Laughlin June Jazz Summer Series in Texas. He regularly performs with Dr. Nick Scales, Dr. Ryan Boehme, and Austin Brazille.
He is married to Tiffany, and is the proud father of three amazing kids, Savannah, Pius, and Madelyn. Sean is also currently the Executive Pastor of Hillside Christian Church, a non-denominational multi-site church in Texas and New Mexico.

Credentials/Background
I teach through my private studio in Amarillo, TX and online. I have played professionally for the last 25 years as an accompanist, writer and arranger, and studio musician, and have taught jazz at a 5A High School in Texas. I have served as the Texas Music Educators Association Region 1 Jazz Chair, and have adjudicated for Jazz festivals in Texas and Oklahoma. My best teaching times are in the evenings and on Fridays, in person and online through Zoom.
