I grew up during the Golden Age of Hip-Hop, and Neo Soul, when my folks introduced to me some great Hard Bop, Smooth Jazz, and soulful brothers and sisters, I heard around the crib. 

I took a few Bop Jazz drum lessons, and tried to emulate the sounds I heard growing up, with this Bop Jazz swing I was learning, and it created my unique, drum cadence, and shuffle.

I am often in the studio with solid rhythm sections, creating awesome live instrumrntation, for soulful vocalists, and spoken-word poets, that appreciate my syncopated drum sound.
