Lulu LaFever

"A Little Night Music"...There's a Juke joint down by the river, just off Highway 99… The jazz is sizzling…It's Friday night, and you and your baby arrive to make “A Little Night Music” of your own…

“A Little Night Music” Produced by Bernie Dresel and Lulu LaFever Engineered by Les Brockmann recorded at Entourage 5.1 and The Greene Room in Los Angeles, California Bernie Dresel on drums and percussion Carl Verheyen on guitars Alan Steinberger on Piano Rick Shaw on standup bass Lulu LaFever delivering steamy vocals

When Bernie Dresel took on the task of masterminding this CD his vision took Lulu’s desire for a sultry, old school jazz CD to the moon and back. There was a whole lot of grinning going on as the tracks were recorded. Every one of the musicians took on the role of mastering the art of romance. Lulu’s original music came alive and as Bernie put it she sang her ass off… The possie rounded up by Bernie are masters in every way. Les Brockmann’s engineering got it all just right. The result…a lovefest…a magnificent bacon sizzling, hip grinding, down by the river juke joint jazz feel… In the mood? Get this CD! Available on www.cdbaby.com on May 8, 2006!

Lulu thinks that songwriters like herself are people who just like to space out and have very big imaginations...that it's really great to be on the planet talking and singing to yourself about the fact that you can actually stand with your arms wide open saying... I can see for miles and miles!...

With her innovative mix of smoldering jazz and sultry blues, singer/songwriter/guitarist Lulu LaFever is a one woman tour-de-force. She has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Maria Muldaur and a cross between Bette Midler and Cindy Lauper, but LaFevers infectious personality and musical style puts her in a class all her own. Touring the last twelve years solo and with her band from Alaska to California and everywhere in between this self proclaimed show off is what the world needs...a good time!
