Justking Jones

Justking Jones is the new, young face of jazz. This rising star logically fuses a sincere respect for traditional jazz with African Rhythms in a form that reaches all audiences. His style of music is all-encompassing, advocating unity—notwithstanding race, gender or religion. Justking is a multi talented artist who is an educator, plays all saxophones, flute, clarinet and produces/composes/arranges. This versatile artist’s unforgettable sound has brought him all through NYC, LA, Europe and The UK for tours and performances with Mos Def, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, Talib Kweli, Theo Croker and Winard Harper. In conjunction with international tours, Justking has been placed firmly on festival stages including Fest De Fado in France, Jazz Cats Festival in Belgium, Burghausen Festival in Germany and Mid Atlantic Jazz Festival in Maryland.

This summer, Justking will release an album that epitomizes the lineage of his Jamaican heritage along with the continuation of traditional jazz swing, hard bop and avante garde rhythms.

“My goal is to build kingdom on earth through a global sound and community. Being apart of this kingdom ensures love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control. It also ensures modesty, chastity, long-suffering, health and understanding.”
