Diran Tavitjan

Diran Tavitjan was born in 1977 in Skopje, Macedonia. He got in touch with music at 6 years when he start attending piano at the classical school of music. At that time his father, one of the best drummers on the Balkans Garabet Tavitjan was member of very famous jazz-rock band called Leb i Sol. Since then he was attracted with jazz and contemporary music. Diran has a complete music education as a pianist and percussion player. Later, he had private studies of jazz theory and arranging with Ilija Pejovski who graduated at Berklee College of music class 1977. Diran is a fellowship holder of prestigious Jazz Music Academy Berklee College of music, in Boston. Tavitjan has been actively engaged in musical creativity
